Reserve North Mountain permits by calling (512) 389-8911; permits cannot be booked online. TPWD lists reservations up to three months ahead. For guided climbing, use a guide service listed on the official activities page, or call the park at (915) 857-1135 about ranger tours; TPWD asks for at least one week of advance notice. The orientation video is required for self-guided visits and camping, and must be repeated annually. Check the official activities page for current closures and weather restrictions before visiting.
